Branding Projects

A lot of my freelance work consists of smaller branding projects. While these don’t come with big budgets or crazy exposure, they are immensely creative opportunities to work with smaller brands. I like to keep this work in my book so that every knows, no project is too small. Every design gig is an opportunity to understand a new business and to create something beautiful to put into the world.

Fernandes for State Senate

Freelance

Dylan Fernandes is a 4th generation Falmouth resident. He has worked on campaigns for Maura Healy and Elizabeth Warren, both of whom speak very highly of him. Particularly in his efforts on the campaign trail and in his work with the Attorney General. The Nobska lighthouse is a symbol of his hometown, Woods Hole and represents Dylan’s ability to shine a light on local issues The lighthouse logo was shown on Dylan's site, social media, car bumpers and lawns around Massachusetts. I initially created his logo for his campaign for State Representative – a position he held for 7 years – and reworked his logo in 2024 for his State Senate campaign.

Maker Studio

@ Connelly Partners

3,000 square feet of art director and photographer heaven. It has photo equipment with backdrops and professional lighting. Huddle cubes with white boards for team work sessions and a viewing area for clients to review work on a large screen as it’s being shot. As the space was being built my CCO asked me to design some logos to not only give the space some character, but to be used in promotional materials showing off the company’s new capabilities.

Drogheda Wolves

@ Connelly Partners

When the CP expanded from Boston to Dublin a few cool opportunities came up. The town of Drogheda has a local team called the Wolves and I was asked to take a swing at a rebrand. This is the full set I came up with, complete with different color schemes and scaled logos.

Hay Road Productions

Freelance

Jenn Sargent is the Founder and Executive Producer at Hay Road Productions and asked me to create a company logo. They are a full-service production company for photography and video with some really cool clients. A lot of the work has a feel of classic Americana so the logo I created is based on an endless road concept.

Kings Dead

Freelance

When the Dean's List, a popular college music group evolved and changed their name to the Kings Dead, they needed a new identity. Sonny Shotz and Alexander Mendoza found me online and asked if I could help. After months of back and forth we landed on a logo series that works on everything from album art to apparel and it is featured on their 2015 album Utopia Too.

Alexander Mendoza

Freelance

After finishing the Kings Dead logo, Mendoza asked me to develop his personal branding. He does film scores and editing as a side job and needed an identity to hold it all together. He is intrigued by Aztec and southwestern prints, so we ran with it and I made his Aztec 'A'.

SHYFT

Freelance

My work with Alexander Mendoza didn't finish after the Kings Dead or after his personal branding. He also asked me to help launch his record label - SHYFT. Though just a startup at the moment, SHYFT has been buying studio space in Southern California and cultivating a diverse group of artists. This logo was made extremely quickly to save upfront costs, but with scalability and both print and digital applications in mind.

Elevate Fitness

Freelance

Ramon Garcia is in one word, driven. A product of his own regiment, Ramon now does personal training full time. He trains everyone from high school athletes trying to make the varsity basketball team, to middle aged women just trying to get fit, to life-long athletes looking to improve their marathon times. He does it all. And though he has done it for years just by word of mouth, Elevate Fitness is now a legitimate business. The logo can be used as the full word mark or as the isolated 'E+F' logo mark.

Shear Strength

Freelance

Joshua Evans finished graduate school in 2014 and started a Personal Training practice in Miami called Shear Strength. The idea started in high school when Coach Shear subjected Evans to high intensity weight training. That, coupled with years of experience with the Syracuse University Football team, Evans created a regiment that can be adapted to any body to get stronger from the inside out. The 'Double S Dumbbell' logo is a nod to the tailored training Evans provides his Miami clientele.
